Geradin Partners wins prestigious JUVE “Antitrust Law Firm of the Year” award in Germany
Geradin Partners’ German team has won JUVE’s award for “Antitrust Law Firm of the Year” (Kanzlei des Jahres für Kartellrecht). Germany’s leading legal directory presented the award at the JUVE Awards ceremony in Frankfurt on 29 October 2026.
The award comes barely a year after Geradin Partners opened in Germany in September 2025 with partners Thomas Höppner and Thomas Funke. As far as we are aware, no law firm has previously won one of JUVE’s main categories in its first year in Germany.
The awards honour firms which have shown particularly dynamic and positive developments over the preceding year.
In its laudation, JUVE said that “rarely had a new player shaped the market to such an extent”. It noted that Geradin Partners is “virtually omnipresent” and concluded that, “after just one year, it is impossible to imagine the hugely important field of competition law in the digital economy without Geradin.”
In its first twelve months since Geradin Partners opened its German offices, the team has been involved in several of the most significant competition law developments in Europe, from compliance to merger work. The jury highlighted three successes in particular:
- Google Shopping damages: The jury said the record damages for idealo and Producto had “set a new standard for private enforcement”.
- Competition in AI: Geradin Partners’ clients played a key role as complainants in the European Commission’s competition investigation into AI Overviews, which drew worldwide attention.
- Apple ATT: A complaint handled by Geradin Partners led to the Bundeskartellamt’s decision requiring Apple to change its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework for personalised advertising.
We are grateful for the recognition of our work and thank our clients and peers for their positive feedback.
