Joona Aaltonen

Joona Aaltonen is a Senior Associate at Geradin Partners. Before joining Geradin Partners, he worked as Head of Stakeholder Relations at the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), where his responsibilities included coordinating the organisation’s advocacy work and policy positions, as well as maintaining relations with key stakeholders. Prior to that, he worked as a political journalist at Helsingin Sanomat, Finland’s leading daily newspaper, covering government policy and the legislative process, among other topics. Joona holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law from the University of Helsinki, where his studies focused on European Union law, including an exchange period at KU Leuven.
