Jyri Häkämies
Jyri Häkämies is a Senior Counsel at the Helsinki office of Geradin Partners.
Häkämies has a long career in politics and business. He served as President and CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Industries from 2012 until the present. Prior to that, he was Minister of Economic Affairs from 2011 to 2012, Minister of Defense from 2007 to 2011, and concurrently Minister responsible for state ownership steering. Jyri was a Member of Parliament from 1999 onwards.
He has extensive experience and deep expertise at the interface of politics, regulation, and business. Addressing geopolitical challenges and navigating their implications has also been a significant part of his professional responsibilities. He has broad and strong networks, including well established contacts across the Nordic countries, in Brussels, and internationally.
Häkämies holds advisory roles within the Finnish business community and serves as Chairman of the Board of the defense industry company Patria.
