Kathleen Beirne

In her previous role, Kathleen acted for app consumer and developer clients in significant group competition claims against two multi-national technology companies alleging misuse of market power and exclusive dealing, including acting in the initial trial of the claims in the Federal Court of Australia.
From these and other matters Kathleen has gained particular expertise in complex group competition litigation. Kathleen has experience acting in all stages of proceedings from commencement to disclosure, evidence preparation, interlocutory disputes and trial.
Kathleen started her career in the public sector and also has experience in public law and data protection.
