Marie-June Evin

Biography

Marie-June is an associate with experience in competition law litigation.

Prior to joining Geradin Partners, Marie-June worked at Hausfeld, where she helped manage cross-border mass litigation cases involving different cartels, including the renowned Trucks Cartel. Representing over 2,100 European clients in the Netherlands, she notably participated in reaching a settlement with DAF – one of the cartel participants – for over 1,000 Dutch victims. 

Marie-June also assisted clients with stand-alone and follow-on damages claims across Europe and the UK in relation to the automotive sector.

Experience

  • Contributed to the management of a class action before the Amsterdam Court on behalf of several thousand companies against the truck manufacturers involved in a cartel.
  • Contributed to the « First Wave » proceedings in the Trucks cartel before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, representing claims for waste management group Veolia, energy utility Suez and industrial product supplier Wolseley – amongst others.
