Henriikka Piekkala, commented:

“I am delighted to join Geradin Partners and to work with such a strong, internationally oriented team. It will be a great pleasure to collaborate with many excellent colleagues whom I already know and hold in high regard. I look forward to contributing to the most demanding antitrust litigation cases, which are my passion.”

Damien Geradin, Founding Partner of Geradin Partners, commented:

“Henriikka’s arrival is a significant moment for Geradin Partners as a firm. Henriikka has appeared before the Finnish courts, the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union, and she has advised at the most senior level of both regulated companies and public authorities. Her standing in Finnish and European competition and regulatory law strengthens what we offer to clients across all of our offices. We are delighted to welcome her to Geradin Partners.”

Mikko Alkio, Partner of Geradin Partners, added:

“It is a real pleasure to welcome Henriikka to Geradin Partners. Over more than two decades she has built one of the most respected practices in Finland in regulated markets and competition law. The combination of telecom, postal, media and energy regulation alongside the full breadth of competition work is rare in our market, and her contribution to many of the landmark cases of the past two decades speaks for itself.”

Ilkka Aalto-Setälä, Partner at Geradin Partners, added:

“It is a great pleasure to continue working with Henriikka after many years. We have achieved significant successes together in the past, including three leniency cases and a victory in the alleged industrial pipe cartel case, in which the FCCA was ordered to pay our client’s legal costs. Having the opportunity to work together again, now in a new and highly international context, is truly exceptional.”
