Geradin Partners strengthens its EU and trade policy expertise with the appointment of Markku Keinänen as Senior Counsel

Geradin Partners is pleased to announce that Markku Keinänen, former Ambassador and Permanent Representative  of Finland to the European Union and former Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, has joined the firm as Senior Counsel, effective from 23 February 2026.

With decades of experience at the highest levels of European decision-making, Markku Keinänen will work closely with Tuomas Pöysti and the firm’s broader team on complex EU law, trade law and regulatory matters with a focus on public policy and advocacy. His appointment further strengthens Geradin Partners’ capabilities in Brussels at a time of profound change in global trade and economic relations.
