Biography

Anna Simpson is a senior associate in the London office of Geradin Partners. Anna studied Law with German Law at Worcester College, Oxford for her undergraduate degree and studied the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in London. Since then she has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in both Competition and Consumer Law at King’s College London.

Prior to joining Geradin Partners, Anna was Assistant Legal Director at the UK Competition & Markets Authority. Before that, she worked as an Associate at Clifford Chance LLP in the Antitrust team, where she also completed her training contract. Anna is registered to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Experience

Prior to joining Geradin Partners, while Assistant Legal Director at the UK Competition & Markets Authority (CMA), Anna was a lead lawyer on multiple consumer enforcement cases, including in the technology and airline sectors. She was also instrumental in developing the CMA’s policy and approach in the direct consumer enforcement regime. She has also advised on a number of the CMA’s competition investigations, including on-site inspections. Prior to that, Anna worked on a range of competition matters at Clifford Chance LLP, working for clients across mergers, enforcement and state aid matters.
